The kitchen is useable, and it's pretty, and right now that's what we care about.

Instead of posting 60 pictures, there are a bunch of pictures from before and after on Flicker [clicky here], with a few more including the cats...because clearly, we did this for Buddah to have a place to plaster himself...
When this all started, the projected timeline was 2-3 weeks, so we were pretty sure that meant 4 weeks, and as of today it's been 4 weeks. We lost a day to an inspector that didn't show, a day to a holiday, and a couple to having the wrong grout for the back splash and not having 3 transformers for the lighting, but overall, it's been fairly painless. We'll be glad to not be tied to the house every day and the cats will really be glad to not be stuck in the back of the house so much.
Now...we get to clean up all the crap that got moved around, the rest of the dust (this is a damned dusty thing to go through) not yet cleaned up, and sort through all the things that are not going back into the kitchen. Goodwill is getting a couple of big boxes of stuff.
And tomorrow...finally, a real meal made at home.
On the grill.
Outside.

It looks beautiful, especially when cats are in picture. Actually my new kitchen looks almost identical to yours...same cabinets (although with handles), same flooring and same granite except mine is cesarstone. But I don't jump up on counters, at least not when mommy is around. Congratulations and in only six weeks. Too my mommy 6 months but as long as she could open food cans I was happy.
LOL! "It's a start"... When my sister and I started shopping at big box stores (we were able to share which is important with all those double bottles etc.) After getting home dividing, wrapping and putting away we would order in Pizza, even though there was tons of stuff in the freezer. I loved getting my shopping done in one day for a month but woah! the work!! And looks like you have yours cut out for you. Good thing you had so many years of experience packing moving and cleaning!

Sadly, I don't know...the guy from the remodeling company did that. He took what we said we wanted and then emailed those to me later that day.
Really like the change in lighting from the big overhead to the pendents and recessed lights.

Absolutely stellar! MAX marking the kitchen as his by walking all over the counters and Buddah laying on everything must mean they were born to be in THAT kitchen. It's great they feel like that and you and spouse thingy have enough space to finally move around in that looks right out of a magazine.
