Y'all can play along if you want; I set up a Flickr album. There are a lot of pictures of the existing kitchen, the mock up, and a few of our choices.
The cabinets have been ordered and it looks like demo will start in 4-5 weeks. After that, 2-3 weeks, and we should have a brand new kitchen.
This means I have to start cooking, doesn't it...?
Not sure how much work I'll get done while this is going on. I am sure that the cats are going to be displeased, since they'll be locked in a room a lot of the time. I actually feel bad about that.
I feel bad, too, that Buddah will lose his access to the top of the cabinets.
Poor kitty.

My cats used to sleep on top of the cabinets pre-reno but they have since found other places - like the counters...seriously though they don't mind - they adapt. It's so much fun to renovate - I'm kinda sorry we're done...kinda... :) Have fun with it!
Thrilled for you and so happy you got such beautiful results! I think the cats will do fine at the price of a few extra crunchy treats or some good nip. If they want kitty friendly bites, then it's "no pain no gain". Anyway, who wants swallowed up in a cracked tile floor? Great looking ideas!

No, you don't have to start cooking....that's what gets it all grungy.
With the extra cabinets you lose a window. So will those hold the treats and goodies for Max and Buddah?
