Joette had a pair of walking poles on the 3 Day.
I coveted them.
They're supposed to help with knee, hip, and back issues while walking, and I have all three.
So.
I bought a pair.
Now...it occurs to me that they could become a very good weapon.
So...don't tick me off while I'm walking... This is serious business, the walking.
Srsly.
THose look neat!
ReplyDeleteThey're really good if another walker cuts you off too...
ReplyDeleteJed and I use them on our occasional hikes around SLO. They are wonderful for balance and timing. Just don't run with them!!
ReplyDeleteIf I promise to not be perky - will you promise to not toss me over Land's End?
ReplyDeleteDo they come with built in revolvers, shotguns or anti-annoying person spikes ?
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about San Francisco, hope Atlanta goes better :-)
PS Wonder if a pair of these might be on the list for next year's cricket season.
I want to say how much I admire you and your efforts. I am several years older than you and cannot walk more than a block unaided. I did not start early enough to counteract my poor start. Keep trying in Atlanta. My brother is fighting esophageal right now. So, all anti-cancer efforts benefit everyone.
ReplyDeleteI love Max and Buddah. I am on a limited income and so have not been able to buy any of you books but keep hoping to one day.
Go, Thumper, you are in inspiration.
